A Letter from Our Pastor

 

Ephesians 3:20 says “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that work in us.” What a wonderful powerful, gracious God we serve.  I thank God for allowing us to be a part of what He is doing.  

The Christian Baptist Church Family Life Center sits on 37 ½ acres at 4460 5th Avenue.  The facility also
serves as the location of our 8:00am Sunday morning worship and our Wednesday evening Hour of Power bible study.  During the week our members are free to enjoy the many physical aspects of the Family Life Center.  You may want to begin with a game of basketball in our official size gymnasium. The state of the art Fitness Center has all of the latest exercise equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines, stair machines and much more.  The Game room is equipped with table games, the latest television video games including Wii®, and XBox®, or you can enjoy a fun game of shuffle board.  The Library has many Christian fiction and non-fiction books as well as reference books, of which you may read in the sanctity of the Library or take them home.   Finally for the final stop enjoy a satisfying snack from our Concession area.  And all of this under one roof!

Christian Baptist Church is excited about “meeting the needs of people” through our Family Life Center.  The Family Life Center allows us the opportunity to serve the whole person “body, mind and spirit.”  I thank the CBC family for supporting the vision and their faithful-sacrificial giving.  Additionally, I thank businesses and friends for their benevolence.  I replay repeatedly in my mind Psalm 118:23 “it is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in my eyes.” I am humbled to be a part of it!
